Swim School Staff


We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. We are pleased to give our swimmers a qualified team of experienced, mature professionals who are devoted to making a positive impact on their students.

Ariana
Ariana
San Jose
Ariana taught herself how to swim at age 9 and eventually competed on a swim team for 3 years where she won a Swimmer of the Season award! Her favorite event is the 200 Freestyle. Ariana gained experience working with children of all ages through her younger family members as she often is the go-to babysitter, and while volunteering at her younger sister’s elementary school. She is passionate about teaching her students a valuable life skill! In her free time you can find Ariana swimming, hiking, and reading. A fun fact about Ariana is she won a Google scholarship for Entrepreneurship!

Ellie (Elizabeth)

Ellie learned how to swim at a young age, and her favorite strokes are Butterfly and Freestyle. She previously coached a swim team for children ages 4-9 for two years. She also gained experience working with children through being a teacher’s assistant for a kindergarten class, volunteering at after-school programs, and working at a children’s hospital. She is passionate about teaching swimming lessons because she loves her students different personalities and adapting the lessons to the needs of her students. A fun fact about Ellie is that she loves to scuba dive!

Gabriella

Gabriella learned how to swim at a young age and her favorite stroke is Breaststroke. She gained experience working with children through assisting autistic students as a behavioral aide. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lesson is seeing her students’ progress each session. Gabriella is currently studying Social Work at San Jose City College. When she is not in the pool, you can catch her hiking the local trails!

Irma

Irma learned how to swim when she was seven years old, and has loved the water ever since. She gained experience working with children ages three months through eleven years old through babysitting. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons are the daily interactions with her students and witnessing the joy on their faces as they learn a new life skill. Irma is currently studying Law Enforcement at West Valley College. A fun fact about Irma is that she loves to travel!

Jaclyn
Jaclyn

Jaclyn learned how to swim when she was five years old and her favorite stroke is the Breaststroke. She gained experience working with children through babysitting younger family members, ages six months and up. Her favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is the fun interactions she has with her students as she teaches them a valuable new life skill. Jaclyn is currently studying Film Production at De Anza College. A fun fact about Jaclyn is that she plays the keyboard and produces her own music!

Joaquin

Joaquin joins us with prior experience as a swim instructor. He learned to swim at the age of five and his favorite stroke is Breaststroke. He gained experience with children while working as a camp counselor for campers ages five through twelve. He is passionate about teaching swim lessons because he loves seeing the look of joy on his students faces when they move up a swim level. Joaquin is currently studying Business at San Jose State.

Joshua
Joshua

Joshua learned how to swim at a young age and competed in water polo all throughout high school. He comes to us with over two years of prior experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Joshua gained experience working with children through teaching lacrosse and working as an assistant coach in water polo. He is passionate about teaching swimming lessons because he enjoys the daily interactions with his students. Joshua is currently studying Sociology at San Diego State University. A fun fact about Joshua is that he loves to hockey!

Steven

San Jose
Steven learned how to swim when he was ten years old and his favorite strokes are the Freestyle and the Breaststroke. He swam competitively in high school and excelled at Freestyle, Butterfly, and Breaststroke events. Steven gained experience working with children through tutoring ages three through nineteen. His favorite thing about teaching swimming lesson is the daily interactions he has with his students. Steven is currently studying Computer Science at De Anaza College. A fun fact about Steven is that he loves building computers.
