Swim School Staff


We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. We are pleased to give our swimmers a qualified team of experienced, mature professionals who are devoted to making a positive impact on their students.

Alexa
Alexa
San Jose
Alexa learned how to swim when she was eight years old and comes to us with prior experience as a swim instructor. She gained experience working with children through over five years of tutoring kindergarten through fifth grade. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is building relationships and trust with her students and their families. Alexa is currently studying at San Jose City College. A fun fact about Alexa is that she loves to hike!

Anabel
Anabel
San Jose
She taught herself how to swim at the age of 10 and her favorite stroke is backstroke. Anabel helped raise her youngest sister and has been babysitting since the age of 14. Her favorite aspect of being a swim instructor is watching her students apply corrections to their stroke and succeed on their own. Anabel currently attends San Jose City College to major in English. In her free time she enjoys painting, dancing, and hiking. An interesting fact about Anabel is she likes goldfish!

Ariana

Ariana taught herself how to swim at age 9 and eventually competed on a swim team for 3 years where she won a Swimmer of the Season award! Her favorite event is the 200 Freestyle. Ariana gained experience working with children of all ages through her younger family members as she often is the go-to babysitter, and while volunteering at her younger sister’s elementary school. She is passionate about teaching her students a valuable life skill! In her free time you can find Ariana swimming, hiking, and reading. A fun fact about Ariana is she won a Google scholarship for Entrepreneurship!

Claudia learned how to swim at a young age and her favorite stroke is freestyle. She swam competitively in high school and took additional swimming courses in college. She gained experience working with children through babysitting. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is seeing the excitement on her students’ faces as they learn a new life skill. Claudia is currently studying Business at De Anza College. A fun fact about Claudia is that she loves animals and it is her mission to visit as many zoos as possible.

Elena learned how to swim when she was three years old and her favorite stroke is the Butterfly. She gained experience working with children through babysitting. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is watching he students become more confident in the water. A fun fact about Elena is that she loves going to the movies!

Elizabeth
Ellie (Elizabeth)

Ellie learned how to swim at a young age, and her favorite strokes are Butterfly and Freestyle. She previously coached a swim team for children ages 4-9 for two years. She also gained experience working with children through being a teacher’s assistant for a kindergarten class, volunteering at after-school programs, and working at a children’s hospital. She is passionate about teaching swimming lessons because she loves her students different personalities and adapting the lessons to the needs of her students. A fun fact about Ellie is that she loves to scuba dive!

Leo
Leo
San Jose
Leo gained experience working with children as a camp counselor and while in high school, where he would volunteer to run games and activities for children to enjoy in an organized and fun environment. Leo is also active in the water as he spends much of his time in the ocean and enjoys swimming laps for exercise. His favorite stroke is the backstroke. Leo loves to make his students laugh and have a great time. His favorite aspect of teaching swimming lessons is seeing the excitement on his students faces when they reach a goal. He currently studies Kinesiology at San Jose City College. Leo’s favorite movie is Finding Nemo and in his free time he loves to read and play fantasy football!

Maria learned how to swim when she was seven years old and her favorite stroke is that Backstroke. She gained experience working with children through raising her daughter and babysitting younger family members. Maria loves teaching swimming lessons because she enjoys teaching her students proper swimming technique that they can use for the rest of their lives. A fun fact about Maria is that she loves to hike!

Michaela learned how to swim at a young age and has loved the water ever since. She gained experience working with children through being a babysitter and an assistant coach. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is watching her students’ swim skills improve each lesson. Michaela is currently studying Biology at De Anza College. A fun fact about Michaela is that she loves hula hooping!
