Lifesaving Workshop in Huntington Beach



Fulfill the Lifesaving Merit Badge Requirements

If you are looking to fulfill the lifesaving merit badge requirements in Huntington Beach, stop by the Waterworks Aquatics location at the Hebrew Academy. This program will leave students with the technical training and confidence to handle themselves in lifesaving situations that commonly occur in and around the water.

The instructors for our Lifesaving Workshop are both CPR and First Aid Certified. All students should be prepared to pass a swim test to pass the workshop successfully. Students over the age of 12 (and younger than 18) are allowed to enroll in the lifesaving workshop. 
 
Course Curriculum

Participants will learn to identify and react to emergency situations commonly encountered in aquatic environments.

Learn and perform a wide range of water and land based rescue techniques.

Review and Demonstrate First Aid, CPR, and Lifesaving skills.

All sessions start at 1:00pm
1pm - 3pm: If there are less than 6 participants in attendance
1pm - 4pm: If there are 6 or more participants in attendance

Requirements
Participants must have completed and passed the Swimming Workshop requirements prior to enrolling in a Lifesaving Workshop.
Participants will take and must pass a swim test in order to fulfill all requirements covered in a workshop.
Waterworks Aquatics is foremost a Swim School, so if your children need to brush up on swimming techniques before this workshop, be sure to look into our Lessons, Stroke Clinics, or Swim Teams.

Ages 7-8 | Swimming Workshop $50; 1 Hour
Ages 9-10 | Swimming Workshop $55; 1.5 Hours

*Participating in our programs may help your son (or daughter over the age of 12) fulfill one or more Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge requirement(s). A registered and approved Merit Badge counselor will have to sign off on each requirement passed in accordance with BSA policies and procedures. Our programs are not approved by, endorsed by or affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America.

**If none of the scheduled dates work for your group we can set up a time and day that is more convenient. In this case, we ask for a guaranteed minimum of at least 6 participants. Please contact our office for scheduling options and to set up a customized workshop.
