We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. We are pleased to give our swimmers a qualified team of experienced, mature professionals who are devoted to making a positive impact on their students.

Alexzus
Alexzus
Tuscaloosa, AL
Alexzus learned how to swim when she was four years old and has loved the water ever since. She gained experience working with children through being a babysitter and a nanny. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is building relationships and trust with her students and their families. A fun fact about Alexzus is that she loves to sing!

Ali
Ali
Park City, Utah
Ali has been swimming since the early age of 5. In high school she became captain of her swim team and played competitive water polo. Ali joins Waterworks Aquatics with 2 years’ experience teaching swimming lessons. She also has an extensive background as a nanny, working with children of varying ages. Her favorite aspect of teaching swimming lessons is being a part of her students’ progress.

Amadeus
Deus (Amadeus)
Guam
Deus is currently studying Engineering at Santa Monica City College. He started swimming at age 4 and has loved swimming ever since. His favorite part about teaching swim lessons is seeing his students smile after completing a task.Deus gained experience working with children and adults of all ages as a snorkeling and scuba diving instructor. Two of Deus’ hobbies are scuba diving and playing rugby. A fun fact about Deus is he can create two different types of bubbles underwater.

Jack
Jack
Van Nuys
After learning how to swim at four years old, Jack swam throughout high school and his skill and leadership landed him the roles of varsity swim team captain and junior varsity swim team coach. He gained experience working with children through babysitting younger family members. Jack is passionate about teaching swimming lessons because of the knowledge that he is passing on an invaluable new life skill. He is currently studying Biology at Los Angeles Valley Community College. Fun facts about Jack is that he used be a child actor and he loves cars!

Jonathan
Jonathan
Miami
Jonathan learned how to swim when he was four years old, and his favorite stroke is Backstroke. Jonathan’s older brother taught him how to swim and he has loved the water since. He gained experience working with children through being an overnight nanny. His favorite thing about being a swim instructor is teaching his students a skill that could save their, or someone else’s, life someday. Jonathan is currently studying Communication at Los Angeles City College. A fun fact about Jonathan is that he loves to paddleboard!

Lucky
Lucky
Cavite, Philippines
Lucky is currently studying Business at Santa Monica College. He first learned to swim at age 4 and began swimming competitively at age 7. Lucky has competed in several municipal meets and regional tournaments, collecting 70 medals. His favorite stroke is the Backstroke. Lucky gained experience working with children, ages infant – 10 years, as a nanny and babysitter. His favorite part about teaching swim lessons is seeing his students swim across the pool for the first time. A few of Lucky’s hobbies include reading, cycling, and swimming.

Sashoy
Jamaica
Sashoy is currently studying Kinesiology at Cal State Los Angeles. She began swimming at age 9 and has enjoyed swimming ever since. Her favorite strokes are Backstroke and Freestyle. Her favorite part about teaching swim lessons is helping her students overcome their fear of the water. Sashoy gained experience working with children ages 5 to 12 as a dance assistant. In addition, she has worked with children of all ages as a babysitter. She gained hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities as a volunteer at Joan and Harry A Miller Abilityfirst Center. A few of Sashoy’s hobbies include dancing, painting, hiking, and writing.

Sheila
Sheila
Culver City
Sheila is currently studying at Santa Monica College to major in Psychology. She learned how to swim at age 8 and swam competitively for 2 years. Sheila gained experience working with children by babysitting children ages 1 to 10. Her favorite part about teaching swim lessons is watching her kids grow up and see them overcome their fear to swim. During her free time, she enjoys swimming freestyle, reading books, and spending time with her dogs. Two interesting facts about Sheila is she loves whales and she knows how to speak Italian.

Stephanie
Sibley (Stephanie)
Los Angeles
Sibley learned how to swim at a young age and has loved the water ever since. She swam competitively on the swim team and the water polo team throughout high school and competes at the collegiate level in water polo. Sibley gained experience working with children through helping with after school programs for kindergartners through sixth graders. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is watching her students’ confidence grow alongside their swim skills. Sibley is currently studying Administration of Justice at East Los Angeles College. A fun fact about Sibley is that she loves to read!
