Swim School Staff

We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. We are pleased to give our swimmers a qualified team of experienced, mature professionals who are devoted to making a positive impact on their students.

Ashley

San Jose

Ashley began swimming at the age of five and has loved the water ever since. Her favorite stroke is Butterfly. She played water polo through all four years of high school. She has worked with children of all ages and gained most of her experience working with children working at Jungle Island. She also has been babysitting her nieces and nephews throughout the years. One of her favorite parts about teaching her students is being able to work with the children and being able to work in the water. Some of Ashley’s hobbies include reading and going on hikes.

Benjamin

Colorado

Benjamin began swimming at the young age of two years old and has kept swimming ever since. He swam competitively from ages six to eighteen. In high school he swam competitively and was also the captain of the Water Polo team. His favorite stroke is Backstroke and his favorite events include 100 meter Backstroke, 100 meter Breaststroke and 50 meter Freestyle. He gained most of his experience working with children ages four through ten while babysitting his 3 younger brothers and helping young swimmers through the Little Buddy Program. He is currently attending Evergreen Valley College where he is studying Civil Engineering. His favorite part about teaching is helping competitive swimmers improve their strokes and lap times. A fun fact about Benjamin is he enjoys skiing, wakeboarding and skating.

David

Morgan Hill

David realized his love for swimming at the age of six when he began taking swimming lessons. He swam competitively all throughout his years in school. One of his favorite strokes is Breaststroke and his favorite event is the 100m Butterfly. What he enjoys most about teaching swimming lesson is helping his students build their confidence in the water and cultivate an important skill that will stay with them for the rest of their life. As a math tutor for the past six years, David has worked with children ranging in age from seven to fourteen. He is currently attending Evergreen Valley College where he is studying computer science. For fun, he enjoys the great outdoors, going to the gym and playing video games.

Kimberly

San Jose

Kimberly has been swimming since the age of seven, and swam competitively in high school where she received many awards including best overall swimmer on her junior varsity swim team. One of her favorite strokes is Freestyle and her favorite event is the 500m Freestyle. Growing up as the older child in her family, she spend a lot of her time babysitting and taking care of her little sister. What she enjoys most about teaching is creating a bond with her students and seeing them progress. Kimberly is currently attending Evergreen Valley College and is studying Finance. When she is not teaching she enjoys walking her dog, going to the beach and hanging out with friends.

Lilia

San Jose

Lilia learned how to swim when she was eight years old and has loved the water ever since. She gained experience working with children through babysitting and working at Chuck E Cheese’s. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is the knowledge that her students are learning a new lifesaving skill. Lilia is currently studying Architecture at West Valley College. A fun fact about Lilia is that she loves to draw!

Molly

San Jose

Molly began swimming at the age of four. In high school she joined her water polo team. One of her favorite strokes is Backstroke. Molly has worked with children of all ages. At Cryy Out Christian Fellowship, she helped to set up lesson plans, games, snacks and various activities for children. What she enjoys most about teaching swimming lessons is seeing her students improve in their swimming ability and confidence. Molly currently attends San Jose City College where she is studying Child Development and Medical Assisting. When she is not swimming she enjoys hiking, video gaming, singing and playing piano.

Sal

San Jose

Sal learned how to swim at the age of eight and caught on very quickly! Sal enjoys building connections with his students, as well as teaching them a valuable life skill! He currently attends San Jose State College to major in Biology. Some of his hobbies include reading, playing piano, and playing video games!

Sophia

San Jose

Sophia learned how to swim at the age of two, swam competitively in high school, and enjoys all swim strokes and skills. Sophia gained experience working with children through babysitting since she was twelve years old. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is watching her students achieve a skill that they either didn’t think they could do or were afraid to do. A fun fact about Sophia is that she is a HUGE Disney fan, especially the movies with the Disney princesses.
