Whether you want to overcome a fear of the water or want to perfect your swimming skills, our North San Jose swim instructors are here to help you every step of the way. Our instructors are professionally trained to provide students with a one-on-one hands-on learning experience while in the pool.
When it comes to swimming, Waterworks Swim School believes that learning how to swim is an important lifelong skill that everyone should learn at a young age. We provide swim lessons to children of all levels (ages 2.5 and older) to ensure they gain the confidence needed in the water. Our swim instructors in North San Jose provide your child with the one-on-one swim instruction needed to ensure they are at ease when they are in the pool.

Ava
Ava has been swimming ever since she can remember and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the freestyle. She did lifeguard training during the summers and took CPR classes in high school. She has experience working with kids of all ages as a babysitter for about 5 years.
She goes to school at Mission College where she is studying zoology. Some of her hobbies include DIY projects and learning about animals. Her favorite movie is Princess and the Frog and her favorite food is pizza. She has a passion for helping her students overcome their fear of the water.

Jen
Jen has been swimming since she was 4 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming, she has played sports like soccer, baseball, football and cross country competitively. She has experience teaching swim lessons to kids ages 5 and up.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and learning new things. Her favorite movie is Cars and her favorite animals are otters. She is excited to help each student become a safer swimmer.

Julie
Julie has been swimming for her whole life and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has continued to swim competitively as an adult on a masters team and her favorite event to compete in is the 500 freestyle. She has been a swim coach for a local aquatics club for over 10 years and has taught swim lessons for over 25 years. In addition to teaching swim classes, she has experience teaching 1st grade.
She went to school at FSU where she studied elementary education. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, running and eating Thai food. She has a passion for helping others and teaching water safety.

Viet
Viet has been swimming since he was 10 years old and continued to take swim lessons through high school to perfect his swim technique. His favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has experience teaching the younger kids in his family, including his sister and cousins how to swim.
He goes to school at San Jose State University where he is studying biological science. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and playing video games. His favorite movie is Cars and his favorite books are the Percy Jackson series. He is excited to see each student progress throughout their swim lessons.
