Alexis
Alexis has been swimming since he was 6 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming, he has played soccer and flag football competitively. He has worked with kids as a church school teacher for 3 years.
He goes to school at East College Prep where he is studying bioengineering. Some of his hobbies include cooking, reading and playing guitar. His favorite cartoon character is Mickey Mouse and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to help his students become safer swimmers.

Ashley
Ashley has been swimming since she was 4 years old and in high school she swam for her school's varsity swim team for 2 years. Her favorite stroke to swim is the backstroke and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the freestyle. She has a passion for helping others and is hardworking.
She goes to school at North West College where she is studying sonography. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, sightseeing and trying new foods. Her favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is ensuring her students become safer swimmers.

Avery
Avery began swimming at a local swim club in his hometown at just 2 years old. He went on to swim competitively for over 9 years on a club team, a recreational team and for his high school's swim team. He has experience teaching kids of all ages how to swim at his first swim club. Additionally, he has helped teach at a vacation bible school as well as babysitter for his neighborhood.
He goes to school at the University of Nebraska where he is studying clinical psychology. In his free time he enjoys running, reading and watching movies. His favorite movie is The Lion King and his favorite book is The Kite Runner. He wants to make each lesson fun while teaching water safety.

Donna
Donna learned how to swim by taking swim lessons when she was 3 years old. In high school she swam competitively for all 4 years and was the captain of the swim team. Her favorite event to compete in is the 100 breaststroke and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the freestyle. She has worked with kids as a babysitter for over 10 years.
She goes to school at CSULA where she is studying speech pathology and has taken several child development classes. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and writing poetry. Her favorite animals are sea turtles and her favorite book is Cat's Cradle. Her favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping her students improve their swim technique.

Jackie
Jackie started swim lessons at 7 years old and continued to work on perfecting her swim technique for several years. She swam competitively and played water polo for 5 years. In high school, she received medals for her high school swim team. She was the captain of her team in high school and taught her teammates how to improve their swim technique. She has worked with children at an elementary school as an instructional aide.
In her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting, drawing and dancing. Her favorite movie is Alice in Wonderland and her favorite animals are cats. She is excited to see her student's confidence build throughout their lessons.

Jesse
Jesse swam competitively for 6 years for the City of Commerce. His favorite event to compete in is the 100 breaststroke and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the breaststroke. In addition to swimming, he has competed in karate, water polo, track & field and boxing. He earned his lifeguard certification at the beginning of 2023 and has experience working with kids as an assistant coach and youth sports program worker.
He goes to school at CSU Los Angeles where he is studying kinesiology. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, fitness and learning about cars. His favorite cartoon character is Popeye and his favorite animals are lions. His favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is seeing his students grow in the water.

Michael
Michael learned how to swim when he was a baby from his mother who was a lifeguard and competitive swimmer. His favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the breaststroke. He has been working as a lifeguard since he was 14 years old and has taught swim lessons for 3 years. Additionally, he has worked with kids of all ages as a camp counselor.
He goes to school at Pasadena City College where he is studying journalism. Some of his hobbies include hiking, backpacking and photography. His favorite animals are dogs and his favorite book is The Hobbit. He is excited to see his student's progress throughout their lessons.

Paige
Paige began swimming at three months old and started swimmimg competitively at 6 years old. She swam for several swim clubs and her favorite stroke to swim is backstroke. She was a waterfront safety director for a summer camp, teaching kids how to swim, kayak, canoe, and wakeboard. She has been babysitting since age 11 and taught toddlers at an early learning center. Additionally, she was an EMT and Ski Patroller in high school and college.
In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading and volunteering. Her favorite animals are dogs and her favorite food is pasta. She has her scuba SSI Certification and loves helping students get excited about swimming. She is excited to help her students gain confidence in the water through developing their skills and using positive affirmations.

Sam
Samantha learned how to swim when she was six years old with the help of her father. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is freestyle. She has two years of experience teaching swim lessons to children ranging from three to nine years of age. Additionally, she has worked as a lifeguard and dance instructor for two years.
She attends Upright Citizen’s Brigade where she is studying Improv. Some of her hobbies include writing, acting, improv, comedy, and film. Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese and her favorite animals are dogs. She is excited to get back to teaching and exercise her ability to communicate effectively with her students.
