Swim School Staff

We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. We are pleased to give our swimmers a qualified team of experienced, mature professionals who are devoted to making a positive impact on their students.

Andrew

Orange

 

Andrew began swimming at the age of eleven. He has worked with students ranging from eight to nineteen years old while working for Orange Unified School District. He was responsible for the safe transfer of special needs students and for conducting safety procedures. His favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is seeing his students gain confidence in learning how to swim independently. For fun, Andrew enjoys hanging out with friends, going on road trips and playing video games.

Betsy

Anaheim

Betsy began swimming at the age of five and her favorite stroke is Freestyle. She has worked with children of all ages while working at a preschool, community service events, and as a church volunteer. Her favorite part of teaching her students is being able to make a connection which each and every student and being able to show them how much fun swimming can be. Betsy is currently attending Santiago Canyon College where she is studying Child Development. A fun fact about her is she really enjoys listening to music and singing.

Day

Anaheim Hills

 

Day began swimming when she was only eighteen months old and has loved the water ever since. She swam competitively for about two years with the Anaheim Aquatics Association. One of her favorite strokes is Butterfly and her favorite event is the 100 meter Butterfly. Day has been working with children of all ages through coaching an all girls lacrosse team. She also volunteered as a camp counselor for three summers in a row. Her favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is being able to build a personal relationship with each of her students and watch them grow and develop into great swimmers. Some of Day’s hobbies include golf, working out, playing video games, and hanging out with her friends.

Mayra

Santa Ana

 

Mayra learned how to swim when she was six years old and her favorite stroke is Freestyle. She gained experience working with children through babysitting ages one through ten and tutoring students in Reading and Writing. Mayra’s favorite things about teaching swimming lessons is passing on her passion for the water and seeing them compete at swim competitions. She is studying Criminal Justice at Cal State Fullerton College. A fun fact about Mayra is that she loves skating and going to museums!

Naraly

Anaheim

 

Naraly learned how to swim when she was thirteen and her favorite stroke is the Breaststroke. She swam competitively throughout high school on the swim team and the water polo team. Naraly gained experience working with children through volunteering at a preschool. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons watching her student’s swim technique improve each lesson. Naraly is currently studying Psychology at Santa Ana College. A fun fact about Naraly is that she touched a baby gray whale while whale watching!

Paul

Yorba Linda

 

After learning how to swim at a young age, Paul began swimming competitively at the age of twelve and swam for multiple swim teams. He swam all throughout high school and following graduation he swam for the U.S. Army. Paul comes to us with prior swim instructor experience and loves watching his students’ progress and achieve their goals. Paul is currently studying Biochemistry at Iowa College. A fun fact about Paul is that he has been to six of the seven continents!

Paul

Downey

 

Paul began swimming at the age of six and has five years of competitive swimming under his belt. He started off swimming with the Downey Dolphins and later swam for Warren High School. One of his favorite strokes is Butterfly and his favorite event is the 200 IAM. During his work with the Pasadena After School Program, Paul worked with children ranging in age from eight to twelve. He supervised 20-30 children, and helped with their homework and any other school-related activities. What he enjoys most about teaching swimming lessons is that it combines the two things he is passionate about – working with children and swimming. Paul is currently attending Cal State Fullerton where he is studying Kinesiology. For fun, he enjoys working out, watching Netflix, going to Disneyland and doing homework.

Vanessa

Anaheim

 

Vanessa began swimming at the age of fifteen when she began swimming competitively for Western High School and competed all four years of high school. Her favorite stroke is Backstroke and her favorite event is the 200 yard relay. She has gained most of her experience working with elementary students while helping assist at her local elementary. She would help set up lesson plans and execute the lessons and help and students with any questions they might have. Her favorite part of teaching her students is being able to see their improvement through time. Some of Vanessa’s hobbies include hiking, swimming and bike riding.
