Aqua X Fit Classes

We are excited to announce that Waterworks Aquatics now offers AquaFit classes. The classes consist of a 30-45 minute workout in the water using equipment that you hold onto and attach to your legs to provide resistance. This is a great way to build strength and endurance at the same time. Many of our staff and customers have attended these classes and they love it.

Class Descriptions:


Turn your aquatic workouts up a few degrees with this fun yet challenging class. Use the muscles you have, get the ones you don’t, and find some new ones along the way. This unique class uses drag resistance fitness gear to push and pull the water, and not noodles or buoyant devices to just float around with. This is not your average “dancing” aquatic class, so jump in and have a blast.

Every minute you’re moving in the water your core is engaged just in maintaining your position. Movement in any direction requires the body to push against the water and more muscles are engaged, some of which rarely used on land.

Core strength, balance, and flexibility are improved. The constant resistance burns more calories than the same movements done on land. Water workouts are efficient and the classes shorter, making it easeier to fit into busy schedules.

Lower risk of injury. We use resistance gear rather than weights to up the intensity. There is no risk of falling over or losing balance. Muscle soreness is rare.
