Building Swimming Skills All Summer Long

The summer break provides young children the perfect opportunity to hone their swimming skills. Our half-day, week-long summer swim camps held at our indoor Carlsbad facility provide the perfect setting to improve stroke technique on the four competitive strokes. 

Our trained instructors will help your child with stroke technique, speed, breathing, dives, and turns. They will also play games with the students for the last 30-45 minutes of each daily session. Students are also provided with a daily snack and juice.

Students are encouraged to register for more than one session to build on the skills they learned in the previous camp.

$30 late fee may be applied for registrations made within 3 days of the session start date.

Requirements

  • Children ages 5-14 years old
  • Must be able to swim 2 lengths across a 25-yard pool unassisted and without stopping
  • A swim test is strongly recommended for swimmers who are new to Waterworks Aquatics. Swim tests can be conducted at any time during our operating hours.

 

Important Note: If you are unsure of child's ability and/or do not think they can swim two 25-yard lengths of the pool without assistance and without stopping, please visit our location to conduct a swim test. You can check in at our front office to receive a swim test.

What to bring

Additional Details:

No refunds will be given for purchased swim camp session(s). If you need to cancel your swim camp sesssion for any reason, you must let Waterworks Aquatics know 30 days prior to the start of the session in order to receive a monetary credit on your Waterworks Aquatics account in the amount paid for the session. If your enrollment included a discount, the credit on your account will reflect the discounted cost of the session and not the full session price.

If you are unsure of your child's swimming ability or are new to Waterworks, we strongly encourage all families to take a swim test prior to enrolling in swim camp. Swim tests can be conducted at any time during our operating hours. If you attend your first day of camp and your child is unable to participate due to their swim skill level, a monetary credit in the amount that you paid for the camp will be placed onto your account to be used towards swim lessons.
