Physical Activity Can Help Reduce the Risk of Winter Colds!

We find that many parents believe swimming will increase their child’s chances of getting sick during the winter months and therefore stop theirlessons during that time. Studies show people who exercise through the fall and winter are less likely to get sick, and if they do symptoms tend to be less severe than those who do not participate in regular exercise.  Check out the very informative link below  about how physical exercise during the fall and winter months affects your health. Great news for our year round swimmers! http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/news/20101101/being-physically-fit-may-cut-risk-of-colds
