Waterworks will be a participant in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson! On June 14th, Swim Schools and Aquatic Facilities around the world will be simultaneously holding a standardized swim lesson formatted by WLSL in hopes of breaking the Guinness World Record and to spread water safety awareness to the local communities!
In a synopsis of the event WLSL states “Swimming is a life-saving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning, the second leading cause of unintended, injury-related death for children ages 1-14. Research shows if a child doesn’t learn to swim by the third grade, they likely never will. The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ was created to serve as a platform to help local aquatic facilities and as well as the many different national, regional and state wide water safety and drowning prevention organizations work together to share this important information.”
This lesson is open to all who want to participate, and starts at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. You do not need to register to participate. To read more about the event click http://www.worldslargestswimminglesson.org
